Over the last 4 years I’ve been designing websites for schools, most of them for NKC. It started with my alma mater, Oak Park High School. After seeing my work for Oak Park, fellow alumni Mike Kearns worked with me on a website for the newly built Staley High School in 2007.
Soon after, we finished the other two high school websites. By the end of 2009 we finished all of the middle school websites. By 2010, we finished all of the elementary school websites.
In total, Mike and I built 30 school websites. All of the elementary schools are powered by TurnkeySchool. Each site is built off the original Staley design with customized banners and mascots. We use an AJAX driven architecture with static files.
The result? Students love their websites and parents say it’s easy to find important information. NKC’s websites focus on the mascots and bring out school spirit in a modern way.
